Spring is in the air! The warm again, cold again part makes me crazy, but when it finally turns over and you get that warm again followed by warm again, followed by hot... so lovely! I personally start getting restless and want to spend every last waking second outside in the sun. I have been busy with several projects including some decorative 'baseball' themed photos. Is there anything more nostalgic for me than going to a baseball game this season? I can remember so many times my dad would take me to his softball games. I don't remember watching much of them, other than when he was up to bat. I do remember playing in the dirt, eating sunflower seeds, and making new friends with all the kids in the park. Those memories are some of my fondest. I also remember many summers I played girl's softball myself. Of course some seasons were more successful than others, but we always had fun. I was a pitcher at heart, but thanks to playing in one of the lowest competitive leagues in the city, I got the opportunity to play catcher, and outfield, haha!

Laura has been a friend of mine from way back when we played summer girls' softball out at Kenberry. She was always such a kind and gentle person, yet had a wicked sense of humor and always knew how to have a good time. She was by far, the intellectual in the group of our friends but has always been the most modest too. All of that is why we love her. Knowing someone for this length of time, and most importantly in her childhood, I feel like I have had the pleasure to know Laura's most genuine self. Patrick and Laura clearly love one another in a honest and genuine way that shines through in their engagement photos.
Isn't she beautiful!? I absolutely love this lens for pretty much any photography I do. Presenting, the Nikon 55-300mm lens! She lets in so much light, can produce an aperture that blends the backgrounds like honey, and give you the sharpest of images from a distance. I love to use this lens on shy clients. I hate it when I can see the tension on the clients face and I personally tense up when they tense up and then it's all down hill from there! With this lens I can provide a bit more distance for their comfort without loosing the sharpness. Its ability to zoom, and let in the light allows me to keep my shutter speed up! Thank you Nikon for making such a crazy awesome lens!!
