I really enjoy my senior pictures each year! It's such fun taking them out and about to get their personalities and faces captured one last time before they are all grown up (sorry moms!) I have had the pleasure of photographing both this beautiful young lady and my cousin this year! I sure hope to continue this tradition! So without further wait..... My awesome 2018 seniors!

I really took a break from my blog and photography as a whole. I realized you can ruin even your greatest love if you don't create margin in your life. Now days, I've been a little more choosey about who and what I photograph. It's not that I don't love photography anymore, it's that I have a little boy that is growing up at an unstoppable speed, a husband who deserves my attention, and a career in nursing that is extremely rewarding but draining at this same time.. All of this in mind, I need to do something that is for me and that is photography. I have always had a natural attraction to the arts and photography has become my favorite way of expressing myself.
All this being said, photographing this family was truly a pleasure. They remind me so much of my small family starting out. Your whole world is suddenly centered on this little guy and yet you don't care about anything you once used to. You are overwhelmed with love, happiness, lack of sleep and this drive to be super mommy and daddy! This little guy is six months old and you can see the unfailing love from his parents. Their happiness is contagious and this little boy can instantly melt your heart with his sweet smile. Happy half birthday buddy! Another late entry, but I had to share! I love this family and their momma! So glad I get to photograph this adorable family :)
Okay, so I know this is a way late post, but it's becoming photo/wedding season again and I'm finally emerging from my winter cave! It was a beautiful wedding and I'm so thankful Mitchell and Katie had me as their photographer. I love watching their family grow over the past year. Congrats you two.
I've been clearly falling behind posting my work on here! To save time and not lose the memories I've made over the last few months, I decided to mix together some of my favorites! Please enjoy! Can't believe we are going on to the second year! I love doing follow ups of the newborn pictures. It is amazing to see how big the've grown and their personalities! Also, we had a great overcast, and fairly cool weather. Lucky us with all this heat! Thank you Julie and Jeremy for letting me photograph your little ones.
It was so great to be a part of Nicole's wedding! I've known Nicole since she started as a new nurse and we quickly became good friends. The nurses I work with are closer to me than most. We get to know each other, and I get to hear and see the stories of them falling in love and starting families. It makes my heart feel full to have friends like this. I could go on and on about the memories I have with this girl. From sledding down the snow covered hill out in front of the hospital on slide boards, to confusion about apple computers vs. strawberry ones (can you believe this Chris, haha), talking about engagement photos long before engagement was certain, and then to watch her go on to become an amazing ICU nurse (I always knew you were going to be good at that). Thank you Nicole for your friendship and the opportunity to be a part of your new family begging. We will be staying in touch! Love you friend <3 AND NOW THE PREVIEW:
The weather is starting to get warmer and my true photography season is kicking off. I have a couple of exciting sessions coming up. I was able to photograph this family as my first project this spring. The kids are getting so much bigger and I love seeing them change. It's a great excuse to get together with an old friend and have a good time, even if the kiddos weren't into it... that's what a small bribe is for, right??
A bit late of a blog for this little girl, but I couldn't not post these! This sweet little girl did so well and had the most beautiful baby girl room you've ever seen! Though it was in freezing weather outside, inside, we had the thermostat set at 78 degrees and everyone was toasty for the pictures. This little girl absolutely loved the warmth, we even got a couple of smiles!
I had a great time photographing this little guy. He was definitely in a state of growing. He would eat, take a picture and then eat again! I love how amazing it is, the way your life changes after having a baby. It is hard, no doubt. This tiny, vulnerable little baby teaches you something about loosing yourself and falling love. Between the diaper changes, long nights of no sleep, feeding around the clock, and worrying about all those dangerous germs; there is very little time left for showers, sleep, and loving yourself. At first it seems hard, you can cry a little at times. But make no mistake, that tiny hand wrapped around your finger warms your heart.. Suddenly you have become a mother or a father, and your life now matters in a whole new way, and you are awakened by a real love that changes your life for the best. I thank God everyday that I have my son, and I am so proud to be his mother. Please enjoy these pictures, they are just a small moment in time, and I am so thankful I have been a part of your family's life!
